By creating an account and using the Democratic Republic of Terrorland Citizen Portal, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

The Citizen Portal provides access to simulated government services for the fictional Democratic Republic of Terrorland worldbuilding project. All services, data, and content are part of a work of fiction.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Data

We do not store your personal data on our servers. Authentication and profile data are stored securely by Firebase (Google) in compliance with GDPR. Email addresses provided for document requests are processed by Brevo (Sendinblue).

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, to impersonate any person or entity, or to interfere with the operation of the service.

6. Disclaimer

The Democratic Republic of Terrorland is a work of fiction. All content is for worldbuilding and creative expression purposes only. No real-world political statements or endorsements are intended.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

We process minimal data to provide the services of the Citizen Portal:

• Authentication data (email address, password) — stored and managed by Firebase (Google)
• Profile data (Citizen ID, full name, moon/habitat, date of birth) — stored in Firestore by Firebase (Google)
• Email addresses for document requests — processed by Brevo (Sendinblue)
• Theme preference — stored in your browser's localStorage

2. What We Do Not Do

• We do not store any personal data on our own servers.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties (except Firebase and Brevo as data processors).
• We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics.

3. Data Processors

We use trusted third-party providers to process your data:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication and database services. GDPR compliant. Firebase Privacy Policy

4. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Access your data (available in your dashboard)

• Delete your account and data (available in dashboard settings)
• Export your data (available in dashboard settings)
• Withdraw consent at any time (delete your account)

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from Firebase and cannot be recovered.

6. Security

Firebase and Brevo implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. We do not store any data on our own servers, reducing the risk of data breaches.
